Testimonials
I just want to thank you. Two years ago my wife said, ‘You’ve got to talk to someone about this ADD.’ I found you. That was one of the most significant events in my life. You helped me get a view of the forest. And you helped me find a great doctor. I can’t thank you enough!
Linda helped me believe in my dreams. She realized I was capable when I was sure that I wasn’t. She helped me to articulate exactly what my needs were and then to focus and work towards my goals. Within the year of coaching with Linda, not only did I achieve my goals, I achieved over half of my five-year goals. Linda truly has been one of the angels in my life.
Thank you so much for your support, strategies, resources, and compassion! You helped me appreciate my own strengths. I no longer beat myself up, I can reframe negative self-talk, and I am moving forward to accomplish even more goals.
Linda is a phenomenal adult ADHD coach who had all the skills necessary to help me turn my life around. Before we started meeting, I was at the mercy of my symptoms, and my relationship was suffering. With Linda's help, I was able to get my life back by learning numerous strategies and coping skills, tailored for me, to help maintain focus and motivation.
I can't tell you how much your coaching has kept me moving along a track that feels like it is going somewhere without derailing into depression-land. More than any other typical counselor or talk therapist, coaching with you has helped me not focus on the ‘what's wrong’ – but on the ‘what's right’ within the context of my brain chemistry.
What I find most inspiring about Linda is that she is constantly learning and challenging herself, both as a coach and holistically as a person. As a client, you can't help but benefit from this. She has a vast catalog of coaching strategies and experiences, and it's obvious that she exposes herself to the cutting edge in ADHD coaching and management. She really ‘gets’ what it's like to struggle with ADHD. She is very open and flexible in her coaching style and makes our work a true collaboration.
I didn’t realize how badly I felt about myself until one day after working with Linda for two months, I realized that I no longer felt chronically ‘a day late and a dollar short.’ I began to put into perspective my ‘bad’ behaviors and ‘failings’ and recognized them in the context of ADD challenges.
When I started working with you, I was in a foggy place, fearing for my job and relationships. With your help, I sorted through many ideas and strategies. Using Mind Mapping, I was able to organize all of these strategies into a ‘toolbox’ that I use to keep myself on track. I may still have bad days, but I have momentum and my toolbox, so a bad day doesn't turn into a bad month.
You once suggested, ‘Maybe, instead of thinking, ‘Getting close to my goal makes me scared, and I stop,’ I could say to myself, ‘I am scared – therefore it must mean I'm getting close!’ I really do keep this in mind when I start to feel anxiety about moving forward. Your knowledge and experience working with adult entrepreneurs with ADHD has been beyond helpful.
Linda’s company ‘Getting Clear’ could not be more appropriately named. She has enabled me at times to climb out of my neurochemically mediated and sometimes self-created quagmires – those states of mind where one feels truly bogged down by the details and ever-present demands of a busy professional life. Thanks to Linda, I made great strides in focusing my attention on the right things, balancing both details and big picture issues.
Coaching with Linda helped me figure out what was really important to me, and then focus on opportunities that would make me happy in the long run. Never before have I ever been able to put those things onto one piece of paper and look at them objectively. Most of all, I learned how not to let fear of the future paralyze me from moving forward. Thank you for everything!
I was looking through my coaching journal the other day from our having worked together (four years ago). The journal documents such a large volume of helpful conversations, wisdom, resources, and encouragement. I felt such a rush of gratitude, I had to write and thank you!
You have given me a perspective that I can’t get from a friend, family member, or myself – especially in a time of big changes. You have held me accountable, and yet you do it in a gentle way. I like the fact that I can feel free to talk about my spiritual side. You are so good with using helpful metaphors and you have a critical ear in the best sense of the word.
I was never athletic, so I did not know what to expect from an ADHD life coach. Linda understood that I didn't like living with piles around my house, and how I felt overwhelmed by trying to run my own business. Linda worked with me to get through my roadblocks so that I could create a life that incorporates my strengths while learning strategies to manage the challenges.
Here's what I needed in a coach: Someone who would understand what I needed in the coaching relationship. Someone who would keep me focused on that outcome, in spite of my many great ideas. Someone who could challenge me. Someone who could coach me, in the face of my fear, with humor and lightness. Someone connected to outstanding resources. I found all that in Linda Anderson.
